The main goal of establishing a fundraising program is to generate income for an organization. For fundraising initiatives to succeed, there are strategies that can be used to ensure campaigns meet the desired goals and objective, and they include the following:
1. Launching and managing crowdfunding campaigns on social media helps to attract many small donations as opposed to a few large donations, since the message gets to as many people as possible. Nowadays, crowdfunding websites have videos and “share now” buttons that make it easy for social media users to share content.
2. Creation of a virtual component of a fundraising event is a great way to raise awareness and support a cause. As opposed to having an event in a single physical location, including a virtual component to an event allows other people who are far away to also participate and donate irrespective of their location.
3. Hiring a fundraising consultant brings on board an expert who can assist organizations with campaign planning, campaign direction, feasibility studies, leadership training, embedding staff, and executive searches. Consultants can be hired short-term or long-term depending on the needs of an organization.
4. Donation pages should be mobile responsive to maximize the income stream. Campaign pages should also be designed such that they adapt to any screen size.
